Golf Tips
Just searching golf tips will get you a horde of information at your disposal. But knowing what to do with that information can be half the battle. A great place to begin is by knowing which aspects of your game need improvement. Do you hook or shank the ball? Then search for tips on improving your swing. Do you over or undershoot your target? Then search for club selection tips. Can you get the ball on the green with 2 shots to spare but still miss par? Then your putting is in need of some fine tuning.
The swing is the aspect of their game that most people feel could use some tips from a pro. There is so much going on during a golf swing that the amazing part isn’t that so many people have trouble with it, it’s that anyone gets it right at all. There’s your head position (slightly forward, eye on the ball); your feet position (slightly over shoulder width apart, evenly spaced to either side of the ball); your hand position (two hands on the club, wrists stiff) and your body position (at a right angle to the intended direction of travel). And that’s before you even start your swing!
The other issue with getting tips for your golf swing is that a swing is a little bit like a fingerprint. There are a large number of similarities that can be pointed out, but every individual’s swing will be unique to them. So watch out for someone over critiquing your swing. The most important thing is that you are hitting the ball squarely, that you are getting enough loft on your shots, and that your swing is repeatable at will. If it doesn’t look like anyone else’s but it does the trick for you, it’s a good swing.
